Guidelines
- Requests are limited to wildfire equipment and vehicles for the stations listed in your Grant Invitation email. Requests could include (and are not limited to) Type 3 vehicles, Type 6 vehicles, water tenders, wildland PPE, communications equipment such as radios, firefighting equipment, generators, etc.
- Equipment or vehicles that would benefit the wildland urban interface areas your department /zone serves will also be considered. Please contact Joan Jones (email above) if you intend to pursue this option.
- Only one grant application can be submitted, but more than one need can be included. The attached form, “2024 Wildfire Equipment & Vehicles Grant Program Detailed Request Form” must be uploaded with your application. Please list your requested items in priority order with your highest priority need listed first and others listed in priority order.
- Departments will be asked to provide a 10-25% match of the equipment/vehicles cost.
- If you submit a Wildfire Equipment & Vehicles Grant, you are still eligible to submit a 2024 Fire Department Grant, but the applications and processes are different so separate applications must be submitted.
- Quotes are required to be submitted with your application.
- You will receive a confirmation email after submittal of your application.
- Grant request deadline is 5:00 pm Friday, December 15, 2023
