2026 Fire Department Grant Guidelines & Application

Guidelines

Grants must be for fire, medical/rescue, communication or station equipment (no operating costs). Contact Joan Jones (email below) if you have questions about qualifying projects.
Quotes and pictures of each item requested are required to be submitted with your application.
You can submit up to 2 grant requests. If you submit more than one request, please note on the application the priority order of the requests in the “Other relevant information you would like to provide” field at the end of the application. (After you submit your first application, you can return to the form and fill out a second application.)
You may also submit a multi-department or “zone” application. An example would be for a regional strategic need such as communications equipment. One department will need to take the lead on this multi-department application. Contact Joan Jones (joan@sdfirefoundation.org) if you intend to pursue this option.
You will receive a confirmation email after submittal of your application.
Grant Request Deadline: 5:00 pm Friday, February 27, 2026.
